The project originally began when I chose the 2134C color, a blue muted color. The reasoning behind my choice is because blue is a color that represents distance and coldness, particularly in muted tones. Because of the already minimal and clinical feel of the bare white walls of the interior, I wanted to further highlight this aspect through the color blue. This went hand in hand with the choice of placing a marble texture on the floor, as marble is not a particularly warm and inviting material. Another aspect I wanted to highlight was the modernity and minimalism, as well as geometric nature of the room, hence why I chose the abstract painting filled with sharp geometric shapes. Through the design choices present in the image I wanted the viewer to feel a continuation of the cold exterior inside the building.

In this exercise we where changing the atmosphere of the Casa Cala, for my specific intervention I decided to go with pink, following the rule of using that same Pantone shade of pink throughout the space. In the first floor the floors are mosaics, there´s one painting and a Vitri chair and I decided to add plants to the balcony of the second floor to give it a bit of dynamism. And also a photo of the ocean, but with the colors changed. There´s one person in the space to give it more perspective, and a light sign above the arc.

The chosen Pantone is 3514 C, this being a yellow hue. Yellow besides being a synonym as to express the sense of joy, it also relates to human knowledge and capacity as we see in literature and the Arabic culture. Hence, by placing mosaic patterns as for the artwork present on the room and simplistic and yet geometrically proportionate furniture, visitors when visiting the edification may wonder not only the works hanged but also that of the structure of the building.

For this exercise I chose last year's pantone colour to add to the space given to us. For the painting I wanted to portray that same modern and minimalistic style as the house itself, this same thought process was used when picking out the chair, the Panton chair, which is also a play on words with the use of the pantone colour.

I used purple because it's my favorite color, but also because a light purple feels soft and elegant. It's not too harsh on the eyes. The texture is kinda like terracotta, which I think fits the house as a semi-open room. And then a Hokusai painting because it creates a more calm and soothing atmosphere.
